Josh Devan, Freight Forwarder?

...Me likes the sound of that!
Now before I get started on the blurb, a freight forwarder is, one stop shopping for any importer/exporters. F.F's (Freight Forwarders) can do anything from give you contacts in diffrent countries to delivering your goods (and doing customs documentation or repersenting you in a court if something goes wrong) they even have the power to further process your goods, ie: you import 10,000 kg of peanuts, you can put them in a FF's bonded warehouse and have them package your peanuts in 20kg bags.

So I think that the life of a Freight Forwarder is one that suites me. Why? because ontop of doing the above you are also given classes in CIFFA (canadian international freight forwarders ass.) which makes me valuable and then I can go for a certificate to inspect dangerous goods (furthering my usefulness) and can continue to go on to specialize in parts of the world and into diffrent methods of transport (Land, Sea, Air and Rail)

So Josh, where can you do this? There are many F.Fs in Canada and in the world. (keep in mind that the truly good ones call themselves Freight Forwarders and are CIFFA certified in Canada) the company I am looking towards is Kuehne + Nagel, a German company with locations all over the world. They offer an apprenticeship program to all trade graduates. Needless to say, next year Im going to apply the hell outta that and hopefully, with a lot of hard work and some recommendations from my profs, I will get it.

Thats enought for this guy.
Cheers,
Josh
